Another military officer announces self as Burkina Faso’s Head of State


Another military officer, col. isaac zida former presidential guard to ousted president Blaise Compaore  has announced he is assuming responsibility of  the  head of state,
   Burkina faso local media quote zida as making declaration in Oaugadougou during a broadcast in a private televison channel on saturday.
 The announcement is coming barely 24hours After Burkina faso Army chief Gen. Nabere Traore declared himself as the head of state following the resignation of Compaore.
Thousands on Burkinabes storm the major Metropolis of the country protesting, setting places ablaze over the planned amendment, the protesters feared that the amendment was planned to pave way for compaore to stay in the office beyond 2015.
Report says that some section of the country were opposed to Traore emergence as head of state following the closeness with Compaore.
it will be recalled the compaore who spent 27 years in the office, was billed to vacate it by 2015 after presidential election.
Compaore came into power in a 1987 coup to the then president Thomas Sankari
