(Smart-know-how) Know How to do NYSC Redeployment from one State to another

NYSC allow corps members to redeploys from one state to another, if they see the facts that you have reasons to do so. Many prospective corpers these days want to be deployed to their states of origin or the states where they grew up or attended school. The board of NYSC would never take this as a good reason to redeploy because the whole essence of this scheme is to let graduate go to places they have probably never been to.

They are expected to mix with different people of different cultural and religious backgrounds. But with the increase in hostilities against corps members in some parts of the country, this has changed. Many prospective corps members, sometimes with the aid of their parents, avoid being posted to these volatile parts of the country. This is one of the reasons security concerns was added to one of the reasons you can redeploy.

HOW TO REDEPLOY FROM ONE STATE TO ANOTHER AS APPROVED BY NYSC

NYSC considers redeployment between states on HEALTH, MARITAL and recently, SECURITY grounds. These are the three only reasons that your application to be moved to another state would be considered.

*HEALTH Grounds: You have to be able to prove that your health condition would not allow you to be far from the desired state you want to redeploy to. Maybe that is where your family is and only they, know when the symptoms of your ailment start to manifest or you are on free medicals in one hospital in that state. Anything that makes sense would do.

You should have a medical paper from NYSC's medical Centre or any recognized General Hospitals, Federal Medical Centre, Military/Police Hospital reports. Claims to medical case history are subject to further confirmation to establish their authenticity.

Take note, you might be asked to have a chat with a certified doctor to truly determine if you have this medical condition.

1. MARITAL Grounds: This is usually only considered for female corps members who want to move to the state of residence of their husband. This is especially easy for pregnant women.

If you are applying on marital ground, you are to attach the following to your application:

2. Marriage Certificate
Change of name in any of the National Newspaper
3. A letter from your husband's office as an evidence that your husband is domiciled in the state you want to relocate to.
The corps member who wants to be relocated to another state, should after the Swearing-in Ceremony apply In his/her writing stating why he/she wants to be relocated. The application should be addressed to the Director-General through the State Coordinator.

We wish you the very best as you attempt to relocate to another state!!!
